Jack Forehand

June 26, 1929 – February 1, 2016

Jack and his wife came to Redding in the mid-fifties.  They started a car-washing business built it up and sold it.  He delivered dairy products for McColl Dairy for a brief time.  He sold insurance for Prudential Insurance as this became his main profession.  Jack is survived by his wonderful wife Dottie of over 60 years, daughters, Peggy and Linda.  Jack found great fun playing golf with his many friends he gathered for over 30 years at Churn Creek.  He loved the Thursday morning scramble and the game of hearts afterward.  He knew virtually everybody who came into the clubhouse, he would always call out to them with a kind greeting and was obviously their friend.  Jack kept track of most everyone's birthday and sent cards to many.  He was generous almost to a fault.  He was one of the best friends that anyone ever had.  Jack is no longer hurting anymore, and I, and a few others, loved him like a brother, AND LETS US ALL REMBER THE INFAMOUS "JACK FOREHAND BUMP".  Jack was never behind a tree in his life! Rest in peace Jack,
