Don Morris

February 1, 1930 – July 11, 2017

  

 Don Morris was born February 1, 1930 in Emmett, Idaho, and he passed away in Redding, Ca, July 11, 2017. He was 87.  Don married his wife on Judy on July 31, 1954. They spent almost 63 years together. 

Don was preceded in death by his son Doug: survived by his wife Judy, son Randy and daughter Cary (Lee), granddaughters; Heidi, Mariah (Kenneth), and Rebecca, grandsons; Doug and Ryder, great-grandsons Chase and Rylee.  

Don worked at Western Electric Company and later at Pacific Bell until his retirement in 1986.  Don and Judy moved to Redding in 1994. Don was an Oakland A's fan and enjoyed watching the games when he could. 

We will always remember that contagious smile and a great sense of humor. Don was always a great supporter of the CCGA and loved to participate in all the tournaments when his health would allow him to do so. He also looked forward in taking part in the Thursday Morning Boys golf each Thursday morning and playing a game of hearts with his good friend Don Fox and others afterward. He hated getting that Queen! I’ll bet he is looking for a game in heaven right now.  Our condolences to his wonderful wife Judy and all his family. He will be greatly missed. R.Faller
